Winterfest is our annual Youth Event that occurs in February during President's Day weekend. Each year youth from around the Pacific Northwest join us for a weekend of fun and fellowship.
On Sabbath morning, the youth are treated to breakfast, ice-breakers and a short youth-led devotion. Following breakfast, the church sanctuary is usually full to capacity with youthful energy and excitement as we gather to bring honor and glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through singing, specials and scripture reading.
A guest speaker delivers a morning and afternoon message, separated by a potluck lunch. An evening devotion is usually followed by dinner and a special event (gym night, swimming, skating, etc.) where new friends are made and existing friendships are strengthened.
On Sunday morning, breakfast is provided in the church 'Annex' followed by a devotional and outreach activity.
Friday, February 14, 6:30 – 9:00pm we will be serving dinner to anyone able to arrive before 7:30pm and will be having a time of fellowship and worship at our church in Toppenish (120 North A Street, Toppenish, WA). For any groups not able to arrive before 8pm, you will go straight to your host home whenever you are able to arrive.
Sabbath, February 15, 9am – 10pm we will be meeting at Yakima Valley Church (7901 W Nob Hill Blvd. in Yakima) for Sabbath morning and afternoon services, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided. After dinner we will be having a gym night nearby (in Yakima) until approximately 10pm. Please remind your youth to bring gym clothes and shoes. All Winterfest attendees are expected to participate in the evening event OR they are welcome to go back to their host home. Alternate evening activities are not allowed.
Sunday, February 16, 9am – 11am we will have breakfast in Toppenish, a group picture and a short closing devotion. We will do our best to facilitate a noon departure as we know that road conditions could be less than desirable.
